Fees

Studio time is $195/hour. Studio time includes setting up lighting and background to photograph your particular work, staging the pieces, and actually making the images. Most work is shot in the range of 2-5 pieces per hour once set-up is complete, which usually takes about an hour. David is a conscientious steward of your time. Your work will be photographed using no more or no less than the time it deserves.

Film and processing is $40/roll. Expect 4 to 6 images per roll. You receive both the perfectly exposed and composed images as well as the 'brackets' of lighter and darker images. (Print films require a contact sheet, at extra charge.)

Digital images are photographed and downloaded to CD, the latter usually before you leave the studio. CDs for digital images are $15. We archive your images for five years at no extra charge.

Important Note about Digital Images: Digital images are photographed in highest-quality RAW format, NOT ready for immediate use as web or ZAPP images. David prefers to shoot rather than do post-production work. If you are not handy with Photoshop, consider using a highly-skilled digital image production service such as Berman Graphics.

Duplicate Slides
Duplicate slides are available at $3.50 each. The custom commercial photography lab I use produces duplicate slides that are usually indistinguishable in quality from the originals.

Turnaround Time
Turnaround time varies depending on the workload and the time of year. Call with your specific needs. Rush orders can be accommodated.

Payment

Payment may be made by check or cash.

Payment In-Person
When we're done shooting, you'll pay for the work. I will plan to ship the slides and/or CDs to you via FedEx (for speed and security) or arrange for you to pick them up at your convenience.

Payment When Shipping
I will send the slides and/or CD to you along with an invoice. View them to be sure everything is ok, pay the invoice and I will return ship your work. If anything is amiss, call me.
